Jindal Nature Care is a leading naturopathy center. Although it is more known for as a detox center, I understand it is so much more than that. In the following paragraph, I will try to sum up what I learnt from this institute and why one must visit this place. Staying healthy is the most important prerequisite of a happy life. And at Jindal, you will learn the tips and tricks of staying healthy and some important wellness traits to lead a wholesome lifestyle.
How it all happened
My visit to Jindal was an unexpected and unplanned gift to myself that just fell like a fruit into my arms, and this fruit was indeed very sweet and nourishing. As soon as I came to know that my flight to USA was delayed and I might stay 10 more days, I wanted use this time for myself, spend it wisely and enjoy it to the best. I immediately approached my friend and asked her if we can book our stay at Jindal, for the particular dates. And to my surprise, we were able to het the bookings for the needed dates. It was like it was all planned out antecedently. What more could anyone ask for. This was one of the best thing about the holiday.
What to expect
The first day was more of understanding what lies ahead and what is where. The institute is huge and it takes time to navigate ourselves. Each of us are assigned a Doctor who understands your purpose for being there and based on your health statistics proposes a plan. My concerns were breathlessness and allergies. Accordingly the Doctor prescribed me an everyday schedule and laid out my diet as per my preferences and also briefed me about the detox activities, which were also supposed to be helpful with my main concerns(breathlessness and allergies).
A typical day at Jindal Naturecare
Each day started with a nature walk at 5.20, followed by Neti, eye wash, salt water gargle followed by some basic yoga asanas, a cup of warm lemon water,(it was different for each one based on their preference and need), a visit to the doctor and then you are set to follow the schedule given to you. The institute makes sure that you are busy the whole day with some or the other activity, making sure everybody implements the neat active hours.
Organic and Healthy Food
Food at Jindal was always very sought after by all of us for two reasons, a) it was limited, and B) it was time bound. Where ever I was and whatever I was doing, I used to find my way towards the Food Hall where we were served with the most freshly prepared, healthy and nutritious food. The quantity of food I consumed was half of what I used to have back home but still I never used to feel hungry. This made me realize how much I was overeating, stuffing myself and calling it hunger. Also I was not having coffee or tea, something I considered very important to keep going through the day but clearly it is all in our mind.
All the food was grown in house and one could feel the flavor and quality when you eat them, right from the sweetness of the fruits to the freshness of the vegetables. It was made sure that we received the needed macros and calories as per individual need, The nutritionists and the cooks were all dedicated, experienced and committed to their work. Every other day they used to host a talk show and share the food related queries, doubts and create awareness about the same. So many new habits that needed to be formed and so many to be withdrawn. I decided to take baby steps and keep learning them one at a time.
Some special perks and learnings
I was assigned a respiratory yoga session for breathing issues and it helped me a lot. Even though I used to do yoga since long, I learnt some good techniques and many wrong moves corrected. The yoga teachers were very patient, learned and very helpful.
State of the art facility
The room was equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay, hot water, umbrellas, clothes dryer. Lot of careful planning and work has been put through. Same with the amenities and the facilities. There was a physiotherapy center, acupressure unit, yoga center, entertainment lounge. The walking track was filled with natural beauty and had rest areas frequently, with hot green tea and water for walkers.
Wholesome experience
Breathing,sleeping, diet, staying active the whole day, disciplined about time,eating what is good for you,being around health focused people, listening to health topics. It was like all our five senses are in sync with nature, you see,hear,smell,feel, and taste health and wellness naturally. You are surrounded by all good things and attributes of nature.
Jindal Nature Care however is for people who have decided to take charge of their health and come with a mindset to work on themselves. Once we take this step ,all we need is a surrounding like Jindal naturecare. It is just a means but not an end. It helps you detox not only your body but also the mind. If we pursue even some of the learnings and guidelines received from here in our daily routine, that will be the best take away of your stay at Jindal naturecare.
